I Am Woman

Updated: Jun 12, 2022

There’s been so much confusion, indoctrination, and false narratives as to what we women ARE. It’s weighed heavily on me as of recently, as those of us who know our true self are trodden down by those who speak so loudly, because they can’t even hear their own internal voices, as they intentionally quiet those of us in our true power, because they fear the connection and community we will build.

So after months of meditation, looking intrinsically to my true self, of searching, or drinking in as much knowledge I can find, I will share with you, what makes me WOMAN.

From between my mother’s legs, she birthed me into this existence, and nestled inside my own tiny body, was mother earth’s blessing, to create life as well, so should I choose that it is my calling to also be “mother”

I am woman.

When my body decided it was time for me to become woman, as with the cycle of the moon, my womb purified as it bleeds sacredly, my body riddled with pain as it released the toxic energy that I’d accumulated, to make space for new energy and life

I am woman.

My true essence is sweet, my skin fragrant with blossoming feminine energy, a divine power that allows me to see beyond that which has been made visible in our domesticated world and align wholly with my naturally intuitive self

I am woman.

In the exquisite natural curvature of my body, the thoughtful grace in my movements, the way in which I crave to cultivate my intellect and passions, I embody the essence of elegance

I am woman.

I am born of Mother Earth. I will honor my sacred relationship with her as she is my connection to divine feminine power

I am woman.

I have access to infinite levels of compassion and kindness, and the ability to share such life-altering energy should I find the selfless courage to do so

I am woman.

My body is a temple, a scared vehicle which holds my soul which has spanned many lifetimes, now in this life I will honor it both in body and spirit, as I nourish it with those things that keeps it healthy… in sustenance, knowledge, environment, relationships, and experiences

I am woman.

My worth is the same today, as it was when I entered this existence, and will retain its’ fullness past the final day in which I depart

I am woman.

I will boldly overcome any need for validation, as I realize my full potential and I am not defined by external forces

I am woman.

I will remove the constraints that exist to bind me in our male-dominated, culturally conditioned world that tells me I must hide, shrink, refrain from speaking up, or anything else that condemns me into being less than the full feminine embodiment of who I am

I am woman.

My body is not a lustful tool, and as such, I will not sexualize myself by using my body in any failed attempt to determine my worth, to attract, allure, or defend the strength of my being

I am woman.

I will strive in my intention to stay unhindered by the destructive programming onslaught by the media or our government, my feminine prowess rages as it goes beyond self-objectification or comparison in competition of myself to my sisters and others

I am woman.

Each day I will strive in conscious intention to live authentically and aligned with my true nature, I will not be tamed, as I refuse to fear what I truly desire in this world, nor will I allow myself to be limited in my creativity or my passions

I am woman.

I will set healthy boundaries to deserve and receive only that which is kind, wholesome, prosperous, and aligned with my highest good and self

I am woman.

I crave and ache for human connection, so I will spend my life committed to a journey of building friendships, nurturing and encouraging all those that seek help or guidance so that they too, may become leaders and nurtures

I am woman.

I will embark on a journey that will uplift my sisters, I will disdain from enabling any of their behaviors that are not aligned with their truest and highest self

I am woman.

My gifts, nor my identity, nor my purpose can another take, nor will I allow another to darken

I am woman.

I am not a “queen”, or “diva”, or “boss lady”, or any other one single dimensional term. I am spiritual, I am driven, I am purposeful, I am kind, I am creative, I am inspirational, I am loving…

I am woman.

My brave kindred, she who, both decade and millennia before me, fought with courage, for our rights to vote, our freedom from abuse, for our right of self, etc.

I am woman.

I will stand and uphold and nourish my gifts to their fullest, my right to my female identity and female anatomy

I am woman.
